Chat and support
The site provides a chat to communicate with the firm after requesting an appointment. In relation to this service, the following are processed:
- the message content exchanged with the firm, covered by professional secrecy;
- the case number assigned to the request, the name and contact details provided;
- theIP address from which the messages are sent;
- the date and time of sending and reading the messages.
Why the IP address. It is recorded to allow the firm to recognize the origin of the messages received and to identify any abusive use of the chat (repeated sending, automated messages). The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the data controller in the security and proper functioning of the service (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. f, GDPR).
Who sees it. The address is visible exclusively to the firm, within the reserved conversation management page. It is not shown to other users, is not communicated to third parties and is not used for purposes other than those indicated.
For how long. The IP address is automatically deleted after 90 days from the sending of the message; the message remains, without that data. The contents of the conversation follow the retention terms indicated in the paragraph «Methods and retention».
For protection against abuse, the site may also temporarily suspend the sending of messages from a specific connection: in this case, aencrypted and non-reversible fingerprint of the address is kept, solely for the duration of the suspension, from which it is not possible to trace back to the address itself.
The rights indicated in the «Rights of the data subject» paragraph remain unaffected, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest and to request the deletion of data.
