Many of you have been writing to us in recent days asking for information on the 2020 regularization scheme.
Some audio and video messages are circulating on WhatsApp alluding to a hypothetical regularization of all foreigners present in Italy.
It must nevertheless be specified that, currently, no regularization scheme exists.
The Government has been evaluating for some time the possibility of launching a measure to regularize undocumented foreigners present in Italy.
On January 15, before the outbreak of the coronavirus emergency, Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese stated that the Government might consider the opportunity of a measure allowing the regularization of irregular migrants who hold an employment contract.
As matters stand, however, there is no official news.
